About our Spanish Teacher:
PAULINA ESPINOZA
I was born in Chile in 1977. I received my degree as a Preschool Teacher in 1999 from Andres Bello University.
I have worked for 8 years with kids between the ages of 0 and 8 years old. During the first two years, I taught kids between 2 and 4 years old at a school in Santiago. Then I took on bigger responsibilities, by becoming Vice-principal of the school. During these five years as Vice-principal, I also taught several courses in different levels (0-2 years old, 4-6 years old and 5-8 years old).
The main subjects I taught were arts, science, mathematics, music and Spanish grammar.
I studied English in the North-American Chilean cultural institute and also took first aid courses.
Later, I came back to the University to study psychology. I had to stop my studies after two and half years, because my husband came to New Haven to get a Phd in Economics at Yale University.
I decided to study this subject because I love working with children.
Best
Paulina
