Rim Dahmane

I was born and raised in France.  However, since I was very young, I spent time each year in Tunisia with my extended family where I learned Arabic.  A few years ago, I received an "Animation Certificat", which gave me the opportunity to take care of children during their vacations by organizing outdoor and indoor games and activities, such as crafts, manual activities, picnics and nature discovery.  During my studies, I taught mathematics to middle and high school students.  Both these experiences were very enriching for me.  They let me confirm my love of interaction with children, also my love of teaching and passing on knowledge. 

   I lived and studied in Paris where I earned a Master's Degree in organic chemistry. Then I got married and my husband's job brought us to New Haven.  Although my husband is Tunisian, we speak French at home and watch the French news everyday because it is easier for me, having lived almost my entire life in France.  Several months following my arrival in New Haven, I was employed by a chemical company during the week.  After becoming use to my new life, I joined the Aux 3 Pommes school where I work with a wonderful team. I am very excited before a class.  I always look forward to meeting the children I teach to share with them my french language and culture.
